This photo of Alyssa came from one of the best photo shoots of the semester. We were scrambling to find a good lighting set up, and this was one of the best lighting set ups I've ever used. The placement of her hand makes this a super intimate photo, love the eye contact and the light coming through her eye. Wish the flyaway hairs were tamed.

This photo of Chris was taken with side lighting. I think this type of lighting is great for defining facial features. This really accentuated his upper lip and nose. It was difficult to get the light to hit him properly. I would have liked him to be smiling.

This photo of Brandon is so cute, this is such a genuine expression for him, that is why I chose this shot. It's been lit with clam shell lighting. Unfortunately, it is a little bit dark, and a little bit cool.

Originally taken to be used as a Mastery shot, this photo fits perfectly with my theme. She is supposed to look like she is back in Grade 1 getting her school photos done. Arms crossed, unimpressed. I love the way the lighting makes her look tan, she really stands out. I also love her eyes, they match her sweater, or the other way around? The sweater does kind of look big and bulky, I would have preferred a closer fit, at this angle.

For this shot, I tried a style of lighting that I've never used in the course before. She's standing in front of a big soft box, and is being lit from the side. I really love Hunter's natural ability to pose, but it seems to give her an unfortunate face wrinkle.

By far, my favourite shot within my theme. I lit Brendon from the side and used a string of lights to get that foreground bokeh. I love this facial expression and how naturally he was able to pose, as this was his first time in the studio - ever! I would love it if this photo had some more of the bokeh aspect.
